The Gulf of Roses is the most northeastern bay across the catalan Coast. The Bay offers a 12 km / 7.46 mi long strip of beaches, encompasing four towns ( Castelló d'Empúries-Empuriabrava, Sant Pere Pescador and L'Escala).
From May 27 – Jun 01, 2014, the Roses Gulf holds the windsurfing Slalom world cup event, where you can thoroughly enjoy yourself.

Having the weather conditions in its favour, there’s no better place for this event to be hosted. During summer, the wind blows from 10/25 kph, whereas in winter, the tramuntana (mistlal) wind blows at 20/45 kms. Thanks to its location as well as its conditions, the spot is considered to be as a great destination for beginner windsurfers.
