This beach has the right conditions for surfing. It’s suitable for professionals or kamikaze surfers. It’s a rocky reef with world class waves, with left direction. It’s one of the few ones lefts in  Ericeira.
For the swell, the best direction is the west and for the wind, the east direction. The waves are really fast and hollow. The high tide is the only best tide position. You must be careful and surf only when the tide is full of rising.
In summer, the wind blows offshore at 0,6% and the waves are with no swell size most of the time. Only at 4% of the time, the swell size is 1.3-2 m (4-6.5 ft). In autumn, there is the same swell size as in summer, and at 7% of the time the swell size is from 2-3 m (6.5-10 ft). The wind blows offshore at 7%. In winter, the wind blows offshore at 12% and the waves swell size on good days, is from 2-3 m (6.5-10 ft) and at 7% of the time is >3 m (>10 ft). In spring, the waves swell size is at 11% of the time 1.3-2 m (4-6.5 ft), but there is no swell size at 79% of the time. The wind blows offshore at 6%.
