Southern of Greece, in Achaea, you can find Chelmos, a beautiful mountain range in the Peloponnese region. Its name means a mountain with snow. It is also known as Aroania and it has the highest top (2355 m/7726 ft). It's a place where the ancient myths travel all over the region.

Î¥ou can find the waters of Stiga. It’s been told that this river was flowing in the underworld. It was the river where the Olympian gods were taking oath. They believed that these waters were deadly for humans and animals. Don’t worry, these are just myths. The only thing that could happen to you in this spot, is to feel like a snow god, because its fantastic piste will definitely seduce you. So, let’s ski and make the snow waste away from the fire, burning on your feet. Make even the Olympians gods clap their hands, when you show off.

In Chelmos ski center, there are 10 piste, 2 of them are baby piste. There are piste for all levels of difficulty. The descents start from 2328 m/7637 ft to 1698 m/5570 ft and the individual length is from 300 m/984 ft to 4 km/2 mi. There are green, red and black piste that run 42%, 42% and 6% respectively. There are 7 lifts, 2 chair and 5 drag lifts with the top lift on 2340 m/7677 ft, the first lift on 1700 m/5577 ft.

There are ski schools in the area, with experts at your disposal. In case you need equipment for your satin game with the snow, the schools can provide you with everything you need.

The largest town near the mountain is Kalavryta, where you can find lovely accommodations and restaurants. When the night falls, find one of the hospitable bars of the area and drink a glass of cognac or maybe two, so as to cope with the outside cold.
