Mojacar is a municipality of Almeria province at about 90 km/55 mi away, located in the southwest. This village lies between Carboneras and Garrucha, bordering the Sierra Cabrena mountains and the Mediterranean sea. The village has been inhabited by Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans during ancient times, leaving behind their architectural style. The whole village is built on the top of the hill with white traditional buildings surrounded by a big labyrinth of small narrow streets. Mojacar is a typical Mediterranean sunny village with more than 3000 hours of sun per year.

June through September being considered as quite warm months (26°C/78.80°F to 30°C/86°F), with water temperature quite warm too (20°C/68°F to 24°C/75.20°F). The mild to strong wind conditions, creates short waves less than a meter tall, ideal for beginner kite surfers, as for the advanced kiters will be a chance to improve their skills when wind gets stronger. The wind and swell direction is southwest, it blows at seaside from the right, about 3 to 5 beau-ford.
Summer period conditions are suitable for beginners, winter and spring ones are the best seasons if you want stronger winds. Locations to kite: Playa Serena, Playa Roquetas and Aguadulce. For the beginners there are a lot of instruction schools offering courses. You will learn how to control your kite or board, and instructors will teach you everything about wind and water navigation.
