The Elephant coast is located at the eastern seaboard of South Africa. It stretches along the Indian Ocean in the east, it borders with Mozambique in the north while the south-west lies on the Zululand. The spot is extended inland across the Lubombo mountains and the famous Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, which is the oldest in Africa and home to the big 5.

Snorkeling in Elephant Coast is at the amazing Sodwana Bay which is just phenomenal. The spot offers amazing snorkeling with warm clean water all through the year.

Water temperatures range between 20-28°C/68-82.4°F with snorkeling spots ranging from protected rock pools to offshore corals and sandstone reefs. Underwater world is filled with brilliant colors and a variety of tropical fish and coral with some larger species like the turtle, dolphins and whale sharks. Depths are shallow ranging from 8-10 m/26-32 ft.
