Kona International Airport is located at fifteen minutes in the south of the main town. Kailua Bay is a wonderful spot for scuba diving with an average depth of 35 ft/10 m and maximum depth 89 ft/27 m. The sea is reef coral with good visibility and low currents. The bio-diversity of the bottom is amazing.
