Mount Kato is a famous tourist destination for both summer and winter season. If you choose to visit this place during summer, don’t miss to exercise mountain biking. Mount Kato hosts several mountain bike races every year.
So, give yourself the opportunity to enjoy this exciting sport in the most appropriate place. Your activity takes place on over 7 mi/11.26 km of trails, 80% of which are wooded singletrack. Start with a warm-up climb to the top of the resort. The track has good balance of descents, climbs and technical sections with switchbacks. The approximate vertical gain per lap reaches 500 ft/152.40 m. In order to avoid tramping vegetation, you are kindly requested to ride only on designated trails. Don’t forget that helmets are mandatory.
Be aware that some trails might lead to vehicular traffic. In this case, it is advisable to ride carefully and get prepared to stop when needed. Mountain Biking in Mount Kato can be exercised by both novices and experts. The most appropriate season to visit this place is from late April through October.
