The magical island of Lefkada or Lefkas is situated opposite the west shores of Aetoloakarnania, in the Ionian sea and is part of the Eptanisa island complex. Lefkada differs from all the other islands, because it is connected with the continental Greece by a floating bridge. It boasts breathtaking beaches with clear blue waters, cosmopolitan seaside towns, mountainous villages, lush nature and is well-known as an attraction for extreme sports lovers!

Pefkoulia lies on the western side of the island, close to the picturesque village of Agios Nikitas. It is a beautiful sandy beach with plenty of room, not only for bathers but also for paragliding enthusiasts, as it is a popular destination for this sport. Favored with Mediterranean climate, with hot and dry summers and mild winters, the site welcomes you from early spring months till late autumn.

Paragliding in Pefkoulia does not require special skills or particular technical qualifications. Experienced instructors will teach you everything you need to know, in order to admire Lefkada from above. You will soar high above the Ionian sea and the impressive Lefkadian shoreline, which offers breathtaking landscape views and unique flora. The best wind directions are from the west, southwest and northwest.

The take off altitude is at 129 m/ 80.2 ft above sea level and the take off point is found at 38°48’50” (38.814)N; 20°38’4″ (20.6346)E. You can land right on the beach, near your umbrella! But be careful of other pilots and people on the beach. Last but not least, the area provides hotels, restaurants and taverns where you can taste delicious local dishes!!!
