For those seeking surfing adventures, Bali provides some of the best waves in the world for all experience levels. Seminyak Beach is situated in Seminyak Village, north of Legian beach. It is a white sandy beach with stunning panoramic views, giving into Indian Ocean that welcomes both beginners and advanced surfers.
The swell size starts working at 1-1.5 m/3-5 ft and holds up to 2 m/6 ft. The beach break offers both right and left hand waves. In addition, the ideal tide movement is rising tide and the best tide position is all tides.
In summer the wind blows onshore at 68%, in autumn it blows at 25%, in winter at 11% and in spring at 53%. Offshore winds blow from the east and northeast and the ideal swell direction is from the southwest. The optimum period for surfing here is during dry season, especially from April to August.
Note that, you can combine your surfing activities with shopping in the Seminyak shopping district, which is located close to the spot. Finally, be careful of pollution and rips. All in all, Seminyak beach guarantees a holiday to remember!
