Plettenberg Bay’s exposed beach break offers amazing point -break set up. Surfing here is excellent with strong and active swells. The spot has seasons with different wind directions. From March to September, the south westerlies and southerlies howl in to provide strong and active swells standing at 2-5 m/6-15 ft.
From November to March the winds shift to easterlies. Water temperatures normally range between 19-22°C (66.2-71.6°F). The best surfing season here is from April to October with dominant westerly wind direction with swells at 1-2 m/3-6 ft.
