Marseille is also known for its skate-parks. One famous free public park, being operational since 1991, is Marseille’s Skate-park or also known as Prado. The park is perfect for skateboarding and it is the largest outdoor park in France. It has been featured on Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 video game, holding skating competitions with international stars, sponsored by a surfing apparel company.

Now the bowl attracts many foreigners, English, Dutch, Germans, Spanish Americans, Norwegians and especially Belgians, who made the pilgrimage between Brussels and the Prado in skate.

The bowl has undergone a worldwide success with many events organized and some of the biggest stars of skateboarding, skating on its surface.
