Tamarack is unique, because it offers the only winter resort, complete with a full service Ski Center in Mammoth. The Ski Center lies next to Tamarack Lodge. The resort lies at an elevation of 8500 ft/2591 m. Average snowfall is 400 in/1.016 cm. Lift tickets are available.
Almost all of the trails are groomed and in excellent condition. The trail network loops and criss-crosses Mammoth’s outer reaches. The view is spectacular at the back side of Mammoth Mountain, with frozen lakes, forested trails and snow covered peaks.
On all trails are marks, so you will know where you are going. Trails are 19 mi/30.6 km totally and right out of the front door.
