Apart from a great surf spot, Cronulla boasts some excellent dive sites. 4th-5th Reef is close to another great dive site, Windy Point. Access to the point can be made by Jibbon Street, at Oak Park. The site is appropriate for experienced divers. The average depth here is at 15 m/49.2 ft and the maximum is at 17 m/55.8 ft.
Visibility is medium and varies from 5 m/16.4 ft to 10 m/32.8 ft. Water temperature is up to 21°C/69.8°F in summer and early autumn months and between 14-18°C/57.2-64.4°F in winter. Amazing marine life can be observed here including blue groper, sea dragons, angel sharks, salmon, wobbegong, Port Jackson sharks, luderick, cuttlefish, old wife, yellowtail and eastern blue devil to name just a few.
It is a crowded spot, so watch out for boat traffic. Last but not least, you can also dive the spot from a boat. Apart from diving, there is a variety of activities, attractions, restaurants and bars that lie on the streets around Cronulla.
