Paragliding is the recreational and competitive adventure sport of flying paragliders: lightweight, free-flying, foot-launched glider aircraft with no rigid primary structure. When combined with skis (also known as speed flying too), it takes a new level for extreme sporters, speed riding is the ultimate experience! Masella pistes give you the chance to paraglide on skis, among the slopes.
There are no gliding schools in the resort, but the experienced glider can bring his own equipment and discover Masella from above. The forest extends along at 80% of its pistes and at 90% face north. It offers the largest vertical drop in the Eastern Pyrenees at 935 m/3067 ft with 74 km/45 mi of total usable terrain. Lowest altitude is at 1600 m / 5249 ft at Pla de Masella, with a maximum height of 2535 m/8316 ft in La Tosa.
