The town hosts many interesting historical sites and is famous for its Kona Coffee cultivation and the crystal clear sea. Kona International Airport is located at fifteen minutes in the south of the main town.
Along the sea side, there are shops and schools to buy or rent diving gear as well as take lessons if you are a beginner. Keahole spot is an outstanding place for scuba diving with an average depth of 50 ft/15 m and maximum depth 80 ft/24 m. It has a low sea current and excellent visibility which makes it perfect for diving lessons for adults and children.
The biodiversity of the bottom is very exciting because other than lobsters, coral reefs and colored tropical fish, you can see playful dolphins. But the best time to go diving is during night when you will meet with Manta Rays and garden Eels.
North Head is the northern headland of the entrance to Sydney Harbour. All along this section there are several excellent dive sites.
