Eightmile Creek Trail is located on the Central Cascade Mountain, at the Wenatchee National Forest. It is 12.4 mi/20 km long, with an elevation gain of 3600 ft/792 m. You can walk part of the trail in one day or walk it all the way, which will take you about two days out and back.
The trail is open for snowshoeing from December through late March. It is ideal for more experienced snowshoers and for those who plan to spend the night on the mountain, however, they must be very well equipped with low temperatures camping gear. Eightmile Creek Trail is perfect for snowshoeing because it is quiet and serene, offering a unique unspoiled wild beauty.
Walk next to alpine lakes giving in an amazing mountain view. Be careful of snowdrifts, because the bottom of the valley is narrow. Don’t forget to take with you a map and a compass.
