Select this isolated destination for rock climbing and enjoy the scenery of the Cairngorms park. Main advantage of the site is that it allows climbing even where everywhere else is wet.

Scotland is a “must to go” destination for rock climbing and very popular among rock climbers, since it is famous for its complicated rocky morphology. Specifically in the Highlands, there are numerous places to visit suitable for rock climbing. Huntly’s Cave is one of those places with impressive steep block schist.

Cave’s level of difficulty is being estimated around E3, so don’t hesitate to climb, since climbs look usually harder than they really are. Another benefit is that it is often dry, when elsewhere is a washout. Rocks are generally good and well protected.

If you prefer to visit the spot during the weekend, it is a good idea to stay in the nearest city of Inverness, where there are plenty of places for renting with various prices.
