Curl Curl beach is an exposed beach break that has dependable surf at all stages of the tide. Surfers can explore the waves with swell sizes from 1 m/3 ft to 2.5 m/8 ft.
The best tide movement is falling tides. Offshore winds blow from the west, northwest and the best swell direction is from the southeast. In summer the wind blows offshore at 11%, in autumn the wind blows at 28%, in winter at 41% and in spring at 19%. The beach is appropriate for novice and advanced surfers alike and can work at any time of the year.
