Outer Blue Fish Reef or Blue Fish Wall is located on the headland and close enough to another dive location which called Inner Bluefish Reef. It is regarded as one of the best dives around Sydney’s Heads.
The maximum depth is at about 25 m/82 ft. Water temperature is up to 21°C/69.80°F in summer and early autumn months and between 14-18°C/57.40-64.40°F in winter. The visibility is good and many species, like schools of kingfish, cuttlefish, wrasse, mullet, leatherjackets, bullseyes, sea perch and goatfish can be observed on the spot.
It has many large boulders, swim throughs, small drop offs and overhangs that make this site an exhilarating dive. Apart from diving, there is a variety of activities, attractions, restaurants and bars available along Sydney’s northern peninsula.
