The top of the pass is at 11307 ft/3446 m and has access to a wide array of backcountry stashes. It is one of the earliest ski areas in Colorado with an annual snow fall of 300 in/762 cm. It is a historic ski resort as it works from 1937, but did not operate every year in period.
The lifts are separated to the ones pre 1989, which are 1 Constam T-Bar and 1 Heron-Huntington Double and post 1989, which are 1 Borvig Triple and 1 borvig Quad (1 Borvig double was removed in 1991). Summit elevation is 12051 ft/3673 m, base elevation is 11022 ft/3359 m and vertical drop is 993 ft/302.7 m.
Typical ski season lasts from October to early June. Trails are 40% for beginners, 40% for intermediate and 20% for advanced skiers. Services include base lodge with restaurant, ski patrol, ski shop and cafeteria.
