
The Gap, South Head
South Head is the southern headland of the entrance to Sydney Harbor, at the north of the suburb of Watsons Bay. Hornby Lighthouse, the third oldest lighthouse in New South Wales, is located in South Head.
The Sao Salvador region offers many sites for deep water diving. There you can move in the oceanic depths, admire the vibrant and colorful open sea life and live a unique underwater experience.
The area has been characterized as a paradise for wreck scuba diving, since its waters house a great number of famous wrecked ships, some of them being of archaeological value. Cavo Artemidi, Banco da Panela, Cap Frio, Bretagne/Germania, Blackadder, Maraldi, Ho Mei III, Sacramento Galleon, Utrech and Queen are among the most popular ones. Each one is located at different depths (between 26.2-183.7 ft / 8- 56 m).
