It is a wide and sandy beach with a nice view of Winthrop and Nahant, visible in the horizon. A lot of people visit the spot to exercise some kite-surfing, with autumn and fall being the best seasons to practice it. It is a good place for beginners, but excellent for experts when conditions are right.
Best wind comes from the Southwest with its main course being from the North, Southwest, West and Northwest. South and Southeast wind is optimal. Note that you must not kite south of the ‘Fiesta Building’ in summer from 8am to 6pm. Later on, it is allowed.
