Almeria is a province of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, between Enix, Pechina and Nijar. Almeria enjoys a subtropical Mediterranean climate with hot summers and warm winters.

It offers one of the sunniest, warmest and driest climate in Europe with low annually rainfall. With an average of 8,5 hours of sunshine everyday and temperatures from 26 to 30°C/78.80 to 86°F during summer and 15 to 19°C°C/59 to 66.20°F during winter.

The south-west winds, the soft waves (less than 1 m/3 ft) and wind strength from 1 to 3 (max 5) Bft make it an ideal spot for sailing enthusiasts. At the eco friendly Almeria marina of Club de Mar, you can find the local Yacht Club, and plenty of  moorings for your boat (medium capacity for large boats).

Many services are also available (boat elevator to land etc). There are many sailing trips with plenty of routes around the Andalusian coast you can attend. You can also hire a boat and a captain for your sailing vacation.
