It was an Italian cargo ship that sank in 1924. Nowadays, divers can explore the remains of the ship from 6 m/20 ft to 21 m/70 ft deep. The stern section remains relatively intact and you are able to swim through the shaft housings to see the huge boilers. The visibility of the site is good, ranging from 10 m/32.8 ft to 30 m/98.4 ft and the water temperature varies between 19 °C/66 °F and 26 °C/78 °F.
The Rita Zovetta is a favorite dive spot among photographers, thanks to the plethora of colorful fish, such as schools of rainbow-hued fish that inhabit the area. The ideal period to visit this spot is during spring and fall months. Last but not least, the site accommodates both the beginner and more experienced diver.
