The Elephant coast is located at the eastern seaboard of South Africa. It stretches along the Indian Ocean in the east, it borders with Mozambique in the north while the south-west lies on the Zululand. The spot is extended inland across the Lubombo mountains and the famous Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, which is the oldest in Africa and home to the big 5.

Also, it is a great location for dive training and for night diving. The average depth here is at 4 m/13.1 ft and the maximum is at 14 m/45.9 ft. Visibility is pretty good and varies from 10 m/32.8 ft to 30 m/98.4 ft.
Divers will be amazed by the diversity of reef life, with many reef species, tarwhine, buffalo bream and rays to name just a few. In addition, Waterman beach is usually crowded.
