Irkut River is a river situated in the Republic of Buryatiya and the Oblast of Irkutsk. The river is Angara’s left tributary. Irkut River freezes up in late October - mid November and stays in that condition until late April - early May.

The area around Irkut River is actually forgotten by modern civilization, so it keeps ecological purity. One of the most appropriate ways to get in touch with nature is rafting.

Adventurers will meet untouched wild nature, crystal clear river waters with a lot of fish and genuine Siberian taiga. The river is not far from the city of Irkutsk, something that makes it a perfect choice for those who haven’t much time for vacations.

Rafting the Irkut river is a pleasant, easy to intermediate, 2 grade trip in the picturesque foothills of Eastern Sayan Mountains. The tour is about 100 km/62.3 mi of calm rafting. Overnights take place in nearby hotels.
