Horseback Riding in Langebaan Lagoon, Cape Town, Western Cape South Africa

Langebaan Lagoon is situated at 120 km/74 mi north of Cape Town and stretches at 20 km/12 mi in length and 4 km/2.5 mi in width. Unlike other lagoons, Langebaan is pure salty water. The white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters are just breathtaking, whether it is sunny or cloudy.

The spot does not only provide conditions for amazing water sports but for horseback riding as well!!! Riding is open to beginners and experts as well. Explore the flora and fauna while riding on the beach and watch black eagles, soaring the Langebaan Bird Reserve.

The rides also lead to scenic mysterious granite quarries and higher up over the highest Koppie, you get a spectacular view of the majestic Langebaan Lagoon.

Scenic rides are open to beginners as well as advanced riders. More advanced rides on the other hand require the rider to be able to undertake all transitions. That is walking, trotting, cantering and galloping with at least 2 years of minimum experience. Weight limit for beginners is 100 kg/220 lb and for the advanced 95 kg/209 lb.
