Spitzkoppe is a group of rocky peaks, located in Erogo District, Western Namibia, at 276 km/172 mi from the capital Whindhoek. The rocky formations are located in the Namib Desert, considered to be as the oldest and most spectacular ones worldwide.

Sunshine coast boasts surroundings that offer amazing outdoor adventures. Rock climbing at the Sunshine coast is at the extensive crags of Van Staden River Gorge.
The spot has up to 154 sport routes ranging from grade 17-34. Climbing here is mostly on overhanging quartzite and although there is not much for the novice, there are several classics at 21-25 grade.
Due to the fact that the crags are sheltered, climbing is an all year round activity even during the rainy season, however exceptions are on extremely rainy days. The spot is within Nelson Mandela Metro Municipality and a permit is required to enter and the permit is free. During summer time, the routes are shaded by 1pm while in winter it is sunny all day.
