The beach offers the right conditions for all kind of windsurfers, depending on their experience. The swell size starts working at 1.0 m-1.5 m (3 ft-5 ft) and holds up to 2.5 m+ / 8 ft+. There are reef-rocky waves with right and left directions and with normal length. In summer, the wind blows onshore at 87% and the wave swell size is 1.3-2 m (4-6.5 ft). In winter, the wind blows onshore at 70% and the waves swell size is from 2-3 m (6.5-10 ft). In autumn, there are also waves from 2-3 m (6.5-10 ft) and the wind blows onshore at 75%. In spring, the wave swell size is between 1.3 to 3 m (4-10 ft) and the wind blows onshore at 80%.
There is a windsurf school, with experts at your disposal, in case you need. In Achadas da Cruz there are accommodation options and other leisure activities, that you can do on your spare time.
