It is a small village in the municipality of Calheta, in Madeira, the Portuguese archipelago island. The sereneness and the romantic aspect of this place will make your visit an unforgettable experience. The spot provides the right conditions for kite-surfing.

Specifically, in the summer, you can come across waves with swell size 1.3 m to 2 m (4-6.5 ft) and the wind blows offshore 25%, while in the spring the waves demonstrate the same swell size and the wind blows offshore 35%.  In autumn and winter, we observe the best waves, with swell size from 2 m to 3 m (6.5-10 ft) and sometimes with swell size more than 3 m (10 ft). The wind blows offshore 34% and 37% respectively.
