- ABOUT THE SPOT
Water Skiing in Lake Havasu, Lake Havasu City, California USA
The 45 mi (72.42 km) long lake’s capacity is 648000 ac/2622 km² on a very low desert elevation of 482 ft (146.91 m). The concrete dam that makes a glorious arch was built between 1934 and 1938 by the United States Bureau of Reclamation.
There are two aqueducts that need to be filled with water and that is exactly the lake’s primary purpose. Except from that purpose, the lake is also available for fun and especially water skiing.
It is an ideal hot spot for water skiers with its size, the perfect climate and the warm glassy water. You can have fun water skiing by the shorelines, admiring at the same time the magnificent scenery of the canyon and the Desert Mountains that surround you.
Speed, perfect slalom and major air runs are just some of the specifications that are offered by the lake. Nearby shops and schools will provide you with the necessary equipment or teach you how to perform your favorite sport, if you are a novice skier.
