Barra de Navidad is a small farming and fishing town situated on the western coast of Jalisco Mexican state. Barra de Navidad offers exceptional dining and shopping opportunities, based on the local culture. The spot is located at about 68km/42.3miles in the north of Manzanillo.

Barra de Navidad provides you with the best conditions for your favorite extreme sport, surfing. First of all, it is a place suitable for surfers of all levels of ability. The type of the wave is reef-rocky, the wave quality is normal and wave’s direction is right. More specifically, the length of the waves is usually short at 50 m/164 ft, while in good days the wave’s length varies from 50 m/164 ft to 150 m/492.1 ft long. The bottom of the sea has flat rocks.

This spot offers reliable surf conditions. The good swell direction is from the north, northwest and west, and the swell size starts working from less than 1 m-1.5 m/3.3 ft-4.9 ft, holding up to 2 m+/6.6 ft+. The good wind direction is when coming from the southwest, south, southeast, and east. Moreover, the best tide position is low and mid tide. Last but not least, the beach is not very crowded, so beginners could take some lessons in a spacious area. Besides that, experienced surfers could enjoy an amazing performance while the spot provides incredible sight to the less adventurous visitors of Barra de Navidad.
