Swansea is a great place for practicing rock climbing either indoors or outdoors. Indoors activity in South Wales is located towards inland the Gower coastline.
Most of the places provide you with services at reasonable cost. Indoor walls are suitable for children and adults reaching up to 15m/49ft. Outdoor activity along Gower coastline is predominately with limestone. Most of the cliffs are facing the sea so the view is magnificent.
Less vertical cliffs can be found in Pobbles, Foxhole and Tor Bay, highly recommended for less experienced groups of practitioners. If you like rock climbing into the forest then the ideal destination is identified in the north of Wales, like Brecon Beacon Park, where many locations with different cliff heights and levels of difficulty are available .
No previous experience is needed for climbing as coaching by professionals is also available at very competitive prices.
