Durban is a beautiful city and the biggest one in the KwaZulu - Natal. lt has an amazing coastline, diverse landscape with the most spectacular mountain range in South Africa. Climate is sub-tropical with warm wet summers, mild frost-free winters and all year round sunshine. Its amazing sandy beaches stretch into the Indian Ocean with water temperatures at 19°C/66.2°F even during winter.

Durban and its surroundings promise an exciting holiday adventure. An hour drive away and you are in for an amazing 4×4 adventure at the Gwahumbe Game reserve. The route is a self drive with a 9 km/5.6 mi and no guiding is needed. The terrain consists of game reserve trails, river crossings, grass and mud.

Graded from 1-3, it is a year round destination but after the rains, some trails might be closed. Generally the configuration is for game viewing and one is out for treats like viewing the rhino, antelope, giraffes just to mention a few. Drivers can enjoy some interesting and challenging obstacles like river crossings, which are spread all over the area… another fun spot is trying to tackle with mountain trails up to 700 m/2296 ft above sea level from 400 m/1312 ft river valleys!!!
