Cuba nestles at the crossroads of the Caribbean. Whether you are a nature lover or a culture vulture, it is certain that Cuba will enchant you with its unparalleled beauty. Havana is the capital city of Cuba and the largest one in the Caribbean with many places of historical interest, including castles, museums and cathedrals. The climate here is classified as tropical, with an average temperature of 69.8 °F/21 °C in winter and 80.6 °F/27 °C in summer.
Gibara, also known as “The White Town”, is a beautiful, coastal city in the Province of Holguin. The town boasts excellent architectural and historical heritage and the people of the town are very friendly and polite.
Playa La Playita is a sandy beach, located close to Gibara, providing great conditions for a number of watersports. It is a good kitesurfing spot that accommodates both the beginner and advanced kiter. The ideal wind direction is from the northeast and winds usually blow between 10-12 knots/18.5-22.2 kph. The average water temperature is around 27 °C/80.6 °F in summer and around 24 °C/75.2 °F in winter.
Note that you can find flat and choppy waters with small waves inside the reef. In addition, the best period to visit the beach is from December to April. Finally, the location provides museums, cozy hotels and restaurants with great seafood and other delicious dishes.
