Apart from breathtaking views of the Sydney CBD and the Pacific Ocean, there are several excellent dive sites all along this section. The Gap is one of them. The spot is a wall that drops from 10 m/33 ft to 15 m/49 ft and it is appropriate for more experienced divers due to its depth.
Water temperature is up to 21°C / 69.8°F in summer and early autumn months and between 14-18°C / 57.2-64.4°F in winter. Divers are able to see along the wall, sponge covered boulders, weedy sea dragons, leather jacket, pelagic fish, blue grouper and turtles.
