Mount Maude is one of the major drainages of the Cascade Mountains and one of the highest scramble summits in Washington State. The top elevation of the mountain is at 9082ft/2768m high and is suitable for climbing from July to October. The mountain is a great spot for scramble climbing for all skill levels.
Beginners can enjoy a long walk up until the summit, while intermediate and advanced mountain climbers can challenge their limits, with bushwhacking and off trail scrambling all the way up. Once you reach the summit, you can admire unbelievable views of the alpine nature and mountains around.
Mount Maude Summit can be reached in one day, but for the most adventurous climbers, this climb can be combined with Seven Finger Jack climbing, as a three days trip. Camping is allowed in numerous campgrounds along the approach trails. If you visit the mountain in early season, take an ice axe and crampons with you.
