Ziplining in Hunter Mountain, Hunter, New York USA

Altitude:
600 ft / 182 m
Speed:
50 mph / 80 kph
Hunter Mountain is a ski resort which has a lot of points in its favor. Firstly, it is the first ski resort in the world to have 100% of snow making. What is more, it is located only two hours north of New York City.

Apart from its excellent snow condition, Hunter Mountain is also famous for its summer activities. One of them is Ziplining. Just imagine yourself flying through the air in the longest and highest ziplining canopy tour in North America. While exercising this activity, you will be suspended from a cable by only a nylon strap, which is nearly 600 ft/182 m above the ground and with a speed of  50 mph/80 kph. In Hunter Mountain, you will find more than 4 mi (6 km) of ziplines, some reaching heights of nearly 600 ft/182 m above the ground. Ziplining can be exercised during both summer and winter season.

There are 3 different sections to perform this amazing activity. The first section is located just a few steps away from the base lodge and features rope bridges, cable walks and four stories of climbing. The second section is located in the forest and offers rope bridges, swinging bridges and short ziplines. The third and perhaps the most important section features criss-crossing ziplines from the summit down to the top of B-lift. The first “summit” zip reaches heights of about 700 ft/213.36 m above the ground and speeds of about 50 mph/80 kph. We wholeheartedly recommend to visit this place and enjoy this exciting activity!!!
