Since it is located close to most of all the touristic areas, its beaches are one of the most visited and a great deal of activities take place at the same time.

Considered as one of the best dive site at the Mombasa Marine Park, the Shark Point 1 dive site is home to a number of the territorial white – tipped reef shark after a 15 minutes drift ride.

The spot is located on the outer reef with a maximum depth of 72 ft/22 m and visibility standing at 39 ft/12 m. With a sea bed mainly composed by shells and sand, water temperatures range between 24 – 29°C/75.2 – 84.2°F. The spot is ideal for certified open water divers and offers all year round scuba diving. Marine life includes with no doubt the white-tipped reef shark, bull rays, giant grouper and trigger fish among others.
