Snow Lake is located on the Central Cascade Mountain and it is considered to be one of the most popular wilderness trails in the Pacific Northwest. The trail is 10 mi/17 km long (out and back), about seven hours hike with an elevation gain of 2000 ft/609 m.
The trail is open for snowshoeing from January through early March and is not suitable for beginners. Snowshoers can also spend the night by the lake and return the next day, but low temperatures camping gear is necessary.
