Wenatchee is the largest city of Chelan County, located in North Central Washington and lies on the west side of the Columbia River. The city is also known as the Apple Capital of the world, due to the valley's many apple cultivations.

Colchuck Peak is a prominent granite rock at the Eastern end of the Stuart Range. The top elevation of the peak is at 8705 ft/2653 m and is suitable for climbing from May to June. The trail leading to the peak is 13 mi/20 km long (out and back).

It is possible for a climber, to approach and climb Colchuck Peak in one day, but it is more of an adventure to spend the night over. The Western summit is rocky and steep and is the highest of all. There is a lot of rock solid ice when climbing the mountain and once you reach the top, you can admire breathtaking views of the Enchantment Peaks and Colchuck Lake.

If you want to climb Colchuck Col later than June, make sure you are competent with crampons. Colchuck Peak Climb is an amazing and rewarding experience for mountain climbers. You will need a map and a compass, low temperatures camping gear, 2 ice tools, and crampons.
