Between Himalayan giants Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau, lies the legendary kingdom of Mustang. Mustang is the former Kingdom of Lo, where Tibetan is still spoken. The Upper Mustang comprises the northern two-thirds of Mustang District of Dhaulagiri Zone.

During this 10 day trip, you will have the opportunity to feed both your body and mind with a unique experience, as you will pass through the most remote trails, with stunning views and feel the energy of the ancient Buddhist and Tibetan culture. Just imagine yourself riding through a series of canyons and ridges and discover caves used by monks. Lo Manthang is the best destination of this route. The town was constructed in 15th century and sits at an elevation of 12467 ft/ 3800 m above sea level. In order for the adventure to reach at the end, you have to go high onto the Tibetan Plateau at a maximum altitude of 14107 ft/ 4300 m.

Comparing to Himalayan standards, this is not so extreme, as the altitude of the highest point is 14000 ft/ 4267 m. There are a lot of local operators on spot who organize mountain biking trips with great success.

Follow Prithvi Highway and continue onto Prithvi Rajmarg following the signs to Pokhara.
