Shreveport is the seat of Caddo Parish and extends along the Red River, while neighboring Bossier Parish. It is separated from Bossier City by the Red River. The city is the third largest city in Louisiana and the 108th in the United States. The outskirts are marked by wetlands, waterways, cotton fields and pine forests.

In one of these forests, at an elevation of 300 to 350 ft/91.4 to 106.6 m, you will come across two of the most awesome motocross tracks in Louisiana. Desoto MX Park is situated near Grand Cane and is perfect for freestyle motocross.

The tracks consist of a peewee track, several miles of hare-scramble trails and a 1.2 mi/1.9 km track. Amateurs will be thrilled by these tracks, while novices will have a chance to learn how to ride this amazing two-stroke engine and experts can improve their techniques. Both MX tracks are public.

The first one is groomed and watered and has a starting gate. The second track has a maximum engine size of 85 cc and a minimum of 50 cc. It is also a peewee track. The park has an opening schedule, so it is suggested to call before you haul. Bear in mind that helmets are required.

Camping is permitted in developed areas with available water and electric hookups and ample parking lot. Camping, as well as riding are not free. There is a charge, if you use RV and per rider. It is recommended to spend the entire day, in order to enjoy riding, jumping and many other tricks on your motocross.
