El Medano is a town situated in the municipality of Granadila de Abona, on the island of Tenerife one of the Canary Islands. The strong winds and the great climate conditions make El Medano an irresistible temptation for all windsurfing enthusiasts.
Thanks to its natural and marine beauty, El Medano hosts a huge number of visitors every year. It is gifted with many incredible beaches, crystal waters and unlimited adventure opportunities.
If you find yourself here, don’t miss to enjoy a great windsurfing performance. El Medano offers two different spots to visitors to practice the amazing activity of windsurfing. The most experienced windsurfers should visit the North Bay area of El Medano, whereas intermediate ones should visit the South Bay area. If you need more challenge, El Cabezo is the best spot to visit. It is the place that hosts many windsurfing international competitions. Having found the place with really strong winds and great weather conditions, the only thing left to do is to visit it as soon as possible!!
In addition, you will find two main windsurfing shops on spot, one on North Bay and one on Playa Sur. In the vicinity of the spot, you will find many cozy bars and restaurants, where you can savor fresh beverage and relax as much as you need.
