The Escambron Beach, which is also known as La Ocho, is a very popular beach and a great surfing spot, located close to San Juan, the capital city of the island.

It is a reef break with very consistent surf. Here you can explore the waves with swell sizes that can start from 1 m-1.5 m/3 ft-5 ft and hold up to 3 m/10 ft. The optimum wind direction is from the south, southeast and the best swell direction is from the north, northwest. The site accommodates both novice and advanced surfers. In addition, the ideal tide movement is rising tides and the best tide position is all tides. Keep in mind that it offers both left and right hand waves.
