Sochi is a city situated in the federal subject of Krasnodar Kray, Russia. Its exact location is near the border between Russia and Georgia, on the Black Sea coast. Sochi is known to the entire world, as the 2014 Winter Olympics and Paralympics are about to take place here.

Mountain resort Laura Gazprom is a modern tourist center that opened in 2008 and is found near the city of Sochi in Krasnaya Polyana. It is situated close to the village East Sadok, near the river Laura in a distance of 45 km/27.1 mi from the Black Sea.

The resort is perfect for snowboarding, as it features 6 lifts and 15 snowboarding trails of varying difficulty levels. Five of the trails are equipped with additional illumination for night snowboarding.

The highest peak, the Psekhako Ridge is situated at a height of 1436 m/4711 ft above sea level. The modern gondola lift has a capacity of 1200 people per hour and it needs only 12 minutes to reach the top platform.

This complex can accept 8000 tourists in daily basis. Almost the entire equipment can be purchased or rented at the resort. The cableway stations have a changing room, parking lot for 400 vehicles, a snowboard storage room and clothes and accessories boutique.

The bars and restaurants at the Psekhako plateau offer a wide range of drinks and food.
