Lutsen Mountains is one of the most well-known ski areas in the north central Unites States. This large and high ski area, consisting of four mountains, is situated in the rugged Sawtooth Mountains, part of the Superior Highlands on the north shore of Lake Superior. Lutsen Mountains has four mountains, named Ullr, Mystery, Eagle and Moose Mountains.

Sierra at Tahoe is about 16 mi/25.8 km south of state line, Nevada and 12 mi/19.3 km south of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 50. The resort is inside Eldorado National Forest. Sierra at Tahoe is perfect for skiing. The resort has 2000 ac/8.10 km² of skiable area with 46 runs.
Runs are 25% for beginners, 50% for intermediate and 25% for advanced skiers. Longest run is Sugar n’ Spice, which is 2.5 mi/4 km long. Vertical drop is 2212 ft/674.2 m and average snowfall 480 in/1219 cm. Top elevation is 8852 ft/2698 m and base elevation 6640 ft/1024 m.
It owns a lift system of 11 lifts, 3 high speed quads, 1 triple chair, 5 double chairs and 2 surface lifts. Terrain parks are 6, Burton Progression, The Alley, Aspen, Smokey Boarder X Upper Snowshoe and Bashfull.
