Boreal Mountain Ski Resort is a ski area located in Soda Springs, near Lake Tahoe, California, USA. Nearest city is Truckee and the resort is on Highway 80, in the west of the city.

Typically, it is the first spot to have opened with snow activities in Northern California. It is the perfect place for skiers. It is the only resort in the country that offers night skiing in the night super-pipe.

The resort added a new Magic Carpet in 2007 and a high speed mountain chair lift in 2008. Many features include boxes, c-boxes, wave box, handrails, super half pipe and a 15-step staircase. Average snowfall is at 400 in/1016 cm and its vertical is at 500 ft/152.4 m. Top elevation is at 7700 ft/2347 m and base elevation at 7200 ft/2195 m.

Skiable area covers 380 ac/1.54 km². It offers totally 41 runs. The longest run is 1 mi/1.6 km. The terrain is 30% for beginners, 55% for intermediate and 15% for advanced skiers. There are also lanes for tubing. The lift system has 8 lifts with 2 quads, 2 moving carpets, 1 double and 3 doubles.  Snowmaking is at 75% to 80% terrain coverage.
