Chesterland belongs in Geauga County, Ohio, USA. It is a census - designated place (CDP) situated at the northeast of the Ohio state. The city is considered to be part of the Chagrin Valley area, that is defined by the villages and cities along the Chagrin River.

Ohio is popular for the variety of extreme sports that are being practiced from place to place. Near Chesterland and during winter, ski enthusiasts can have a blast in an awesome ski resort, Alpine Valley ski resort.

The area lies at a base elevation of 1260 ft/384 m and reaches 1500 ft/457 m elevation at the summit. The trails of the resort are 11 and spread in the large skiing area, with a vertical rise of 230 ft/70 m. The level of experience is not important, as there is a school in the resort with very experienced instructors that will teach you how to use your skis.
