• ABOUT THE SPOT

Kiteboarding / Kitesurfing in Horseneck Beach State Reservation, Westport County, Massachusetts USA

Swell size:
1 - 2 m/3 - 6 ft
Horseneck Beach is situated at the southern part of eastern Massachusetts and is widely known for the variety of activities it offers.

If the weather is good, usually in mid-summer, the place is crowded and water sports fans must go to the very left or right side of the beach.

The beach itself is sandy with a few rocks. You should not mind about the tide position at this beach, as all tides are welcoming kite surfers without causing trouble. It is also a beginners spot when the wind is calm, but more experienced kite surfers can easily surf when the wind is stronger.  Swell size starts at 1 m/3 ft and goes up to 2 m/6 ft.

Best months to visit Horseneck Beach are from May to August. From September and on, it becomes a spot more appealing to experienced surfers as the wind is getting stronger and the waves higher with much less crowd around.
